About Us

The Working With Dementia Network Plus tackles inequalities faced by individuals affected by dementia in employment.

We are collaborating with people with lived experience of dementia, carers, health and social care providers, researchers, policymakers, and employers to drive meaningful change.

We aim to reduce workplace inequalities for those affected by dementia through collaboration, knowledge exchange and impactful solutions.

Vision

Our vision is to create a collaborative research network that supports and develops innovative ways to improve the working lives of people affected by dementia.

We aim to ensure individuals affected by dementia in employment are supported, understood, and empowered, enabling them to thrive professionally and personally.

Dementia Network Plus programmes

The Alzheimer’s Society along with with the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) support a £5.5m investment in four Dementia Network Plus research grants. Working With Dementia is working alongside three Network+ teams, EMPOWER, EQUADEM, and SPIN Dementia Network Plus.
